Assembler/Crater (top)
Primary Purpose of this Job
The general purpose of this position is to fabricate faces and letters from acrylic, polycarbonate, vinyl, wood, and some metal.
Essential Duties
1. Cut sign face materials to proper size for the sign.
2. Apply vinyl and hand cut copy.
3. Attach proper hanging bars at the right location.
4. Trim cap letters, utilizing magnets, and nails.
5. Assemble letters and cabinets with neon, metal, faces, etc.
6. Form letters with the vacuum-forming machine.
7. Inform Plant Manager of all accidents in the plex-crate-assembly departments.
8. Continually develop more efficient procedures and equipment to do the job.
9. Maintain a safe working environment in the shop.
10. Observe and assist in enforcement of safety rules and regulations.
Required Education
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
Job Requirements
1. Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
2. Must have personal hand tools.
3. Ability to read blueprints and scale ruler.
4. Working knowledge of install methods and service.
5. Ability to move about to accomplish tasks (including bending & twisting).
6. Ability to extend hands and arms in any direction.
7. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds.
8. Perform essential duties of the job without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others.
Working Conditions
1. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
2. The worker will be subject to fluctuating levels of overtime, including weekends.
3. The worker is subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and exposure to high noise levels.

Sheet Metal Worker (top)
Primary Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this job is to fabricate pylons, letters, cabinets, and structures from various types of metals. This level requires full proficiency in all phases of metal fabrication, coupled with high levels of productivity and quality.
Essential Duties
1. Fabricate all sign types from various metals, with high quality and speed.
2. Layout raw materials, using templates when applicable.
3. Help to train all metal workers in the most efficient fabrication methods.
4. Monitor inventory levels on materials used, and inform purchasing when stock runs low.
5. Be proficient in all metal cutting tools: jig saw, band saw, iron worker, plasma cutter, torch.
6. Use welder as needed: arc, mig, spot, stick, wire feed.
7. Manufacture the signs for ease of installation and service.
8. Maintain a safe working environment in the sheet metal department and assist in enforcement of safety rules and regulations.
Other Duties
1. Work with design and estimating to improve manufacture prints.
2. Assist other departments as needed.
Required Education
1. High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
2. Two years sheet metal layout class.
3. Basic electrical theory
4. Must know UL and NEC requirements for signs.
Job Requirements
1. Must have personal hand tools.
2. Ability to read blueprints and scale ruler.
3. Ability to wire primary and secondary side of ballasts, transformers, and flashers.
4. Working knowledge of install methods and service.
5. Graduated from apprentice training program or equivalent.
6. Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
7. Ability to extend hands and arms in any direction.
8. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds.
9. Ability to move about to accomplish tasks.
10. Perform essential duties of the job without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others.
11. Work well in a team consisting of 2 to 6 members.
Working Conditions
1. The worker is subject to high levels of noise. Hearing protection is recommended, and required for certain job functions.
2. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions - protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
3. The worker will be subject to fluctuating levels of overtime, including weekends.
Graphics Fabricator (top)
The general purpose of this position is to fabricate panaflex (vinyl) material into faces for use in signs and canopies.
Essential Duties
1. Measure, cut, and adhere vinyl materials to fabricate faces.
2. Install flex faces in the shop or in the field.
3. Apply vinyl and cut copy on flex face material (requires good eye-hand coordination).
4. Utilize computer software, including Graphic Advantage.
5. Maintain a safe working environment in the panaflex department. Observe and assist in enforcement of safety rules and regulations.
6. Inform plant manager of all accidents in the panaflex department.
Other Duties
1. Serve on the Safety Committee as appointed.
2. Participate in teams as assigned.
3. Other duties as assigned.
Required Education
1. High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
2. Two years experience in sign manufacturing preferred.
Job Requirements
1. Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
2. Ability to exert (push, pull, lift, etc.) up to 50 pounds.
3. Ability to move about to accomplish tasks including twisting, turning, climbing up and down and around on table for large jobs.
4. Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
5. Ability to do math with fractions - figure square footage.
6. Ability to read scale ruler.
7. Ability to do layout.
8. Ability to read blueprints.
9. Strong computer skills, including Graphic Advantage, with the ability to assimilate new computer software programs quickly.
10. Perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
11. Perform essential duties of the job without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others.
12. Work well with others in a team consisting of 2-6 members.
Working Conditions
1. Job involves sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
2. Job is performed inside, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
3. Job may require overtime.
